Because of the latest proclamation by Governor Reynolds about COVID mitigation efforts, the leadership of Connect Church has made the following two decisions:
- In-person worship services at Connect Church will be suspended through November 30 (which includes Thanksgiving Day worship). We will provide online worship services, which can be accessed via Facebook or our webpage (www.connectchurchpella.org) and via radio on KNIA (92.1).
- In-person ministry gatherings, including but not exclusive to GEMS, Cadets, YACS, Sunday School and Happy Quilters, are suspended through January 3, 2021. This also includes the suspension of Refuge, our gathering at PRC Health & Fitness on Saturday evenings.
The leadership is concerned about the safety and health of all people. This decision was not made out of fear of COVID nor as a shrinking back with regards to the Gospel. We make this decision as an act of caring for you and the Pella community whom we deeply love. We don’t see protocols connected to COVID as necessarily a deterrent to our Gospel work, but rather creating further opportunities and needs for us to be servants of the Gospel today. As disciples of Jesus, we encourage you to find ways to do that in your own setting and life context. We love you, Connect Church, and please communicate with the leadership any needs you have whether that be physical, emotional, mental, financial or spiritual.
If you are a member of our Refuge community, we encourage you to stay connected with us by texting “PLUG ME IN” at (641) 629-1575 so that we can reach out to you.
