Welcome to Cross Training!
Cross Training was developed originally from a physical fitness philosophy called CrossFit. CrossFit is all about training people of all shapes and sizes through intense physical movement with the purpose of promoting health and building physical strength. Cross Training is a spiritual fitness philosophy that trains disciples of all backgrounds and Biblical knowledge using the movements called spiritual disciplines. Spiritual disciplines are activities found in the Bible that produces wellness and spiritual strength in disciples through the gospel of Jesus. We are excited to provide these for you since we read in I Timothy 4:7–8, “train yourself for godliness; for while bodily training is of some value, godliness is of value in every way, as it holds promise for the present life and also for the life to come” (ESV).
What you will find here are 15 minute video “workouts.” Please note that even though some “movements” may be uncomfortable to you, everything we include in a “workout” has a purpose. We will provide 2 workouts a week (Tuesdays & Thursdays) because, like physical training, we see consistency as essential in spiritual training. Please note we will also include a document that lays out the “workout” if that is a help to you.
