Ever read a biography about a person with a fixed mindset?
Me neither. If someone has a fixed mindset, he believes his failures reveal his limitations, and so he sticks to what he knows. Most biographies are about people with growth mindsets. If someone has a growth mindset, she sees failure as an opportunity to grow, and so she is willing to explore what she doesn’t know.
The Gospel of Matthew is a biography of Jesus. We read biographies in order to learn from a person, their life, their choices, and their mindset. When we read the biography of Jesus, we can learn about Him as a person and His life, His choices and His mindset. However, by Jesus’ death and life, we can also learn and be transformed into who we are called to be as disciples of Jesus.
