This Sunday, our lent series entitled “His -> Ours -> Joy” starts! A familiar sight on Easter is children searching to possess eggs filled with candy. They look under bushes, in the grass, and on tree branches to find their Easter treasure. A familiar sight in life is for people searching to possess a treasure that comes to us because of Easter. Easter is about joy and true joy is something for which we search. Easter tells us the search is over, because joy is found in no other place but Jesus. During Lent (a timeframe of 40 days that leads us to Easter), we will spend time looking to Jesus, what He came to possess on our behalf (HIS) so that we can live in some amazing realities (OURS) that puts into our possession true JOY.
